Currituck Changes Parking on Beach Laws.

For the second year in a row, The Board of Commissioners have changed the rules for parking on the 4×4 section of Currituck’s northern beaches during the summer months.Their unanimously vote now allows two free parking permits to occupied addresses in the county. They can transfer the permits to different vehicles. Two additional guest permits will be assigned to each home in the 4×4 area for guests staying in rental homes. The original vote last March was intended to reduce the traffic on the northern beach with many vehicles getting stuck, plus a safety concern for horses & people enjoying the beach.

Non residents can purchase a season pass for $150 (required from Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day), additionally you can purchase a ten day pass for $50.
